2009 Canadian National Cage Bird Show & Expo

Canada’s premier event designed for pet-bird owners, breeders and exhibitors.

The event is again being hosted by the Budgerigar & Foreign Bird Society of Toronto (BFBS) & sponsored by the Avicultural Advancement Council of Canada this year in honour of its 50th Anniversary, and is being held at the Richmond Green Sports Centre in Richmond Hill on October 16 to 18th, 2009. According to longtime Club President Dahlijah Rahm, the Expo has something for everyone – whether the attendee is a pet-bird owner, exhibitor or breeder, or is simply interested in learning more about these exotic creatures in a fun, friendly environment.

Activities at the Expo include:
• The opportunity to view the wide range of colourful birds on display, from the smallest to the largest,
ranging from finches, canaries and budgies to conures, cockatoos and macaws;
• The Bird Marketplace, diverse group of vendors of birds, bird food, cages, bird toys and supplies,
books, videos, bird-related crafts, including a world-renowned bird artist, and more;
• Raffle and silent auction
• Companion bird show, inviting owners of various parrot species to showcase the beauty and talents of their birds; and
• Judging of many exotic species by professional judges;

The event is open to the public on Saturday, October 17 from 1-4 p.m., following the judging, and on
Sunday, October 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
