Events - General Event (Public)
The BFBS (Budgerigar and Foreign Bird Society) is holding its
monthly meeting on Thursday, October 2nd, at the location above. The
doors open around 7:00 PM and the meeting starts at 7:30 PM. The Club
meets the first Thursday of every month with the exception of the
summer months. The members are the birdie parents of everything from
finches to the largest of macaws so it is a good place to meet with
fellow bird lovers, ask questions, etc. A lot of members bring one or
two of their kids to the meetings with them as it is a good way to
socialize your bird. Needless to say, the bird must have a clean bill
of health in order to attend.
Although the meetings are for members only, if anyone feels they want to attend one meeting to see if they would like to become a member, the welcome mat is out.
The October meeting may not be of interest to prospective members as it is going to be mainly about the Canadian National Caged Bird Show which is being held in mid-October and this year the BFBS has the privilege of hosting this event but if you would like volunteer in some capacity to help at the event, etc., then it might be a perfect time to join.
There are several members of the BFBS on the BirdPulse and I am sure anyone would be happy to discuss it with you if you think you might like to join.
