BFBS Bird Club (Toronto)

  • About group: In 1938, The Budgerigar and Foreign Bird Society was formed to provide a forum at which persons interested in aviculture can meet and exchange information and ideas and to establish and promote interaction and co-operation between breeders, fanciers and other keepers of birds. The B.F.B.S. celebrated its 70th anniversary this year and is still going strong after all this time. It is one of the oldest (if not the oldest) bird clubs in Canada. The Club has a good variety of speakers at their monthly meetings and the members have a wide variety of species of birds which accompany them to meetings. Anyone is welcome to attend one meeting to see if they would be interested in becoming a member.

Changes Made to BFBS BirdPulse Group

At the request of the president of the Club, the Group has been made accessible to all members of BirdPulse and to those perusing the site.

All B.F.B.S. members are welcome to submit their own articles, create their own Galleries under the Share Stuff heading, add photos or videos of their birds, participate in the the B.F.B.S. Group Forum or the open forums on the site.

All members are also able to add B.F.B.S. events or any other bird related event to the general events section on the main site as well as the group events section in this group.  It is to be hoped that this will encourage some bird fanciers in the Toronto area to join the B.F.B.S. Club and help to further advance the Club.
